AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) extinguishers are suitable for use in fires involving solids & liquids such as grease, fats, oil, paint and petrol etc but should not be used on domestic chip pan or fat pan fires.
This type of extinguisher can also be used on items such as wood, paper & textiles.
When used, the foam forms a seal over the surface of the burning items to prevent re-ignition. These extinguishers are ideal for multi-risk usage as well as being safe to use in close proximity to electrical equipment.
